The Norwegian Conferences on the History of Science will arrange two open webcast panels addressing current issues within the history of science, each with a prominent keynote speaker.
Nathaniel Comfort (Johns Hopkins University) will speak on Tuesday 24 November 19:00 -21:00 (CET). The title of Nathaniel Comfort’s lecture is: ‘Are Genes in Fact the Secret of Life?.‘
Franziska Torma (Rachel Carson Center) will speak on Wednesday 25 November 14:15-16:00 (CET). Franziska Torma has chosen the following title for her lecture: ‘Exploration, the media, and the Body: Sensuous Geographies of Ocean Research.’
Each lecture will be followed by a panel discussion.
The online event is organized by the Program Committee for of the Norwegian Conferences on the History of Science in collaboration with The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology and the Science Studies Colloquium at the University of Oslo.
